Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chipped my front tooth back in June during the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. My previous practice told me they wouldn’t be doing any permanent treatment until the national COVID level had gone from 3 to 2, so thinking that it wouldn’t be too long I decided to wait it out.
Fast-forward over 3 months, I read a report back in September stating that the level would be going up from 3 to 4, so I decided I wanted to get my tooth fixed before we went into another national lockdown. After a referral from a friend, I immediately enquired with Oakwood.
Their service was brilliant, I initially called on the Wednesday and was seen by Hennie (the dentist), the very next day. He gave me a variety of options for the tooth that included another filling, or an EMAX Crown; in simple terms this is where they scan your other front tooth and make a complete copy of it so both are matching.
I opted for the crown and was back in 3 weeks later. After a few hours in the dental chair the process was complete in a relatively pain-free manner, I think the results speak for themselves in the pictures.
If you’re like me and don’t exactly enjoy trips to the dentist, then I 100% recommend Oakwood, their approach to dental care is second-to-none, and the staff make you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door, even in a COVID secure manner.
